Absalom Tennison, Will, February 2, 1830; March 28, 1830
I, Absalom Tennison of CC, being at present in a sickly state of health, but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding;
To daughter Maria Shercliff during her life, 1/3 part of two tracts of land lying adjacent each other in St. Mary's County called "Shercliff" containing 150 acres and the other a mill seat containing about 20 acres but by me of Joseph Howard.
To three daughters of daughter Maria Shercliff, namely Elizabeth Shercliff, John Francis Shercliff and Clarissa Shercliff the profits of the other 2/3 of aforesaid land during their minority and then to them at age.
To son Absalom Tennison, negro Louis now in his possession.
To daughter Elizabeth Tennison, negro Mary.
To daughter Ann Tennison, negro Louisa.
To grandson, Edward Francis Tennison, negro George.
To grandson, John Edmund Tennison, negro Thomas.
To daughter Henrietta Knight, negro Jim.
To wife Eleanor during her life, all the residue of my personal property and then to my children and grandchildren.
